LAVERNA CHABOYER

December 17, 1946 – December 2, 2020

With heavy hearts, we announce that Laverna passed away at Jocelyn House Hospice after a long and valiant battle with cancer, and thyroid disease.

Laverna is survived by her husband of 7 years, Don Stewart; daughters Michelle (Larry) Ollinger, Sherry Hamilton of Regina, and Pamella Hamilton of Winnipeg; sisters Marcia (Bob) Nestor of Vancouver, Beverley (Milton) Biever of Edmonton; brother, Len Siedlikoski of Regina; and granddaughter, Ashley Vieira (Adam Hogg) of Red Deer.

Laverna grew up in the Foam Lake area of Saskatchewan under the care of her grandparents Edward and Marietta Olsen.

In keeping with Laverna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of her life will be held in the summer of 2021 at her grandparent’s gravesite in Bankend, Saskatchewan. In the meantime, Laverna’s family kindly requests that her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos and/or memories and stories using the comment section on this page.

I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Rest in peace big sister, you’ve given me all I need. How can I be a sister without LaVerna? Without my sister, my life will be like a book without page numbers. My sister was the gift I never asked for. Every time I see her picture; I smile then I cry. I hope my sister feels at peace just like she always made me feel. My condolences go out to the family and may they find peace and love with the memories of their Mother Sister, and Wife Beverley Biever❤😺

❤ How can I tell you how much I miss my beautiful Laverna? It has now been 4 weeks since she passed and I still cry whenever I think or talk about her. We would have been married 7 years if she had lived until the 15th. Both 😺Amber and I miss you every minute of every day. I LOVE YOU DON ❤❤

I am very happy I was able to visit Laverna and spend time with her prior to her passing.  I will miss her so much and our many telephone conversations, which always ended in "I Love you".  You're forever sister Marcia❤
