Lorene & Jack Chambers

LORENE ANN FRANCES CHAMBERS & JACK MILLER CHAMBERS
(née Kleysen)
Lorene: August 13, 1932 - February 8, 2025
Jack: July 14, 1931 - August 23, 2021
TOGETHER AGAIN
Our mother was happily married for 66 years to the handsome young pilot she met and fell in love with in 1953. She loved nothing more than being a wife and a mother.
The arrival of three grandchildren allowed her to “mother” again in her 50’s! They made her life wonderful in the truest sense of the word.
Six great grandchildren were a delight and a blessing without end.
Mom had an unending supply of love and caring for all of us.
She was predeceased by her father, Harry in 1960; her mother, Marguerite in 1996; a much-loved younger brother, Gary in 1967; and most recently, youngest brother Wayne in 2020.
Mom was widowed when her beloved husband, Jack, passed in August 2021. She is survived by daughter Jill; son Jim; grandchildren Matthew, Alexandra, and Zachary and her six darling “greats” Kyah, Kezzia, Cressida, Kodah, Kanaan and Leni. Mom is also survived by one brother, Hubert and numerous nieces and nephews.
Our mom lived the life she wanted and treasured that gift. She had recent visits from many of her close Courtyards friends and family who were able to say goodbye. She really did die peacefully in her sleep at age 92 at home with family.
Mom has been cremated as per her wishes and a private Celebration of Life has been held on February 13, 2025.
Flowers are graciously declined.
If you would like to make a donation to DyingWithDignity.ca, that would be very much appreciated.
We would like to thank Dr. Kevin Coates for his long-time support, care and friendship.
We also would like to recognize the terrific staff at The Courtyards at Linden Pointe for all of their care and affection for our Mom over these past 3 years.
Lorene and Jack’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

When based in ywg during the 50ies, I flew as f/o with Jack many hours. Always a fun flight when Jack was in command. He mentored young guys like I was then, with a firm hand and passed on his knowledge to the betterment of all of us. A carefree spirit, Jack was so easy to learn from. As young sprogs on the line, we always looked forward to having Jack in the left seat. He more than split the flying, he always gave us 3 to 1. A wonderful mentor, a wonderful personality and a devoted professional to his craft. I got to know Jack and Lorene as friends as well. During the layoff back then, they came down to visit me in Florida and we had a great time. There are few people in the world who can change one's destiny, but Jack was one who did for me. He made me realize that life is not always easy so live with it and move on. Use all your skills not just the ones at the moment. I went on to real estate and did well. I owed him so much for that push. Bill
