CINDY LOUISE YALDERNICK

March 24, 1958 – August 5, 2019

She is survived by her father William; sisters Cheryl (Mike) and Donna (Denis); brother Neil; stepdaughter Katrina; granddaughter Shiloh; nephews Michael, James and Christopher; niece Lisa, as well as long-time friends Cathy, Terri, Brenda and Debbie.  She is predeceased by her mother Grace and her partner Sherri.

Cindy loved her family; especially Shiloh who managed to make her laugh and smile all the time.  She enjoyed family get togethers and special holidays.  Cindy was also a foster parent for many years.

She was an avid reader and also liked to visit movie theatres with her friends. She enjoyed camping and in previous years, spent a good portion of the summer at the Oasis campground.  Winter holidays took her to Hawaii, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Cindy attended William Whyte, Luxton, St. John’s and the University of Manitoba where she obtained her teaching degree. However, after many years, due to health reasons, she had to retire and worked at Duffy’s Taxi until her passing.

Cindy, even though when we first met, ibwas apprehensive of you, I quickly realized that your style was that that had others interest at heart.  You absolutely loved my sister and had what it took to put up with her craziness.  You took in Katrina as one of her own, and were an amazing nana to little Shiloh.  I'm going to miss our conversations, and thank you for being there when I was down in my lowest.

Cindy My dearest friend, I can’t believe that your gone! How do I say goodbye? The memories we shared will forever be in my heart. You were there for me during my darkest time in my life, I’m forever grateful for that and i promised You that I would be there for you in your times of need.  My condolences to your family. You sure loved your family so very much, they meant the world to you.  All the stories of the years growing up. Christmas was your favorite for sure. I will cherish the good times we had through life, the best by far was when we were roommates! Those where the good old days just having fun and living life to the fullest!   As the years past our friendship and families grew. I think the greatest joy in the past year and a half was being “nana” The brightest light in your beautiful blue eyes was little Shiloh. She for sure had captured your heart.  You will be greatly missed, not sure what to do without you sweet lady. My life will never be the same without you. It is time to Rest In Peace and be with loved ones who are on the same journey.  Until we meet again All my love Brenda

So sorry about Cindy’s passing.  She was a lovely, kind hearted, thoughtful woman. She came into my life through Sherri, who loved her dearly. Cindy had the most infectious big, beautiful,  smile. I will always remember her kindness, compassion and love she showed me. Especially, when my parents and niece died. She will be missed. Lisa

Taught with Cindy at Norquay Elementary School.  A fine lady, and a beautiful person.  I know she had a love of horses.  My condolences to her family.
