Life felt simple, and we as children were blessed with having a stay at home mother. There were many happy memories of birthday parties, and over the top Halloween parties! Music was often blaring and impromptu dancing was not unheard of in this home! If someone didn't know how to dance, she would teach them.

Even if she didn't feel well, there was always an abundance of food for the family and friends. For these reasons, our house was always full. She would sew outfits, and let friends live with us if they needed.

She made her home so loving and welcomed all. So much so, that all the neighbourhood friends would congregate there because she made it feel like their second home. Parents of those friends were there on a regular basis for coffee & visits. She was a true friend to many, & a very caring individual.

After the kids grew up, she went to work as a bookkeeper & also worked in a daycare for the love of children.

As she got older, she started knitting and still enjoyed life in a simple way, even though her health was deteriorating. We will miss you & you will be in our hearts forever!

In compliance with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

"If I had a flower for every time I thought of you....

I could walk in my own garden forever."

A truly beautiful tribute to a wonderful lady. I have so many wonderful memories of Pat as I was growing up on Bayview Drive. The amount of time that penny and I spent in her basement listening to records especially, Chicago, are one of the memories that stand out the moat.  She was always so welcoming, always so happy to see me and before we wood go downstairs I would always sit and have a little chat. It's probably those chats where Pat recognized that I was the angel and it was always Penny and sometimes neighbour Jen leading me down the dark path despite my best efforts to keep them on the straight and narrow. Not too many people can catch you  trying to sneak out pennies bedroom window in the middle of the night and then make you feel okay for getting caught as your friends completely abandoned  you . She was a beautiful person inside and out and qill be missed. My thoughts are with all of her family and friends.❤❤

This is so beautiful. So much of my childhood revolves around your mom/your family. I felt a part of it.   She was so loving and welcoming.  Even when she felt weak, she found strength.  She was there when we lost Marilyn and was a strong source of love and support as we grieved.  She was courageous when she stood up for me and blew her whistle during my darkest times.  She and Candy saved me.   I never thanked her for that, but I hope she knows.  I love her and I love you guys, my second family.  Hugs ❤
