PATRICIA MARIE ANN COTTER

September 11, 1937 - March 1, 2022

Patricia was born on September 11, 1937 in London, England. She had a long battle with Cancer that ended on March 1, 2022.

Patricia leaves to mourn her daughter, Sandra (Allan); grandsons, Colin (Debbie), and Daniel; and many friends, especially those that checked in on her on a daily basis, like Val, Victoria, Arlene, and Elly.

Patricia is preceded in death by her son, Donald; brother, John; parents, William and Amelia; and her partner, Aldo.

Patricia will be remembered by many children as Mrs. Santa Claus at the Shelmerdine Garden Center and as the Balloon Lady on Corydon where she made many balloon animals.

Patricia’s home away from home was Cuba where she was called “Mama Pat” by everyone she met. Due to the Pandemic she was unable to go the last couple of years, but many of the friends she met in Cuba stayed in touch.

Patricia was also very thankful for all the new friends she made at her new home at Rotary Villa. Everyone has been so kind, some knowing and some not knowing that she was terminally ill. Patricia was determined to enjoy whatever time she had left, fishing, painting, beading, playing bingo and riding her scooter.

A private service will be held for immediate family only, as per Patricia's wishes. However, Patricia's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.
