SIMONE COUTURE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Simone Couture (née Levasseur), who passed away on September 1, 2026, with family by her side.

She was deeply loved by her husband, Pierre, and her children, Alain and Ginette. Simone was a proud and loving grandmother to Baylee, Nico, Isabelle, Abi, Eva and Zoe, and a much-loved mother-in-law to Craig and Christina.

She is also survived by her siblings Cécile, Roger, Henriette, Roland, Gilbert and Jean, and was predeceased by her sisters Pauline and Edmée.

The Couture family was also a deeply important part of Simone’s life. We are especially grateful to the many family members who were always there to support, help and care for her and the family whenever needed.

Simone will be remembered for her generosity, kindness and willingness to help others. She gave her time freely, volunteering at a food bank and supporting people in need through her church. Helping others was simply part of who she was, and she was always ready to offer a hand, a kind word or whatever support she could.

She was also wonderfully creative and artistic. Simone expressed that creativity through carving songbirds from wood, watercolor painting, knitting and crocheting, leaving behind many handmade pieces that will continue to be treasured by her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.

A private celebration of Simone’s life will be held with immediate family.
