DAVID ALAN CUNNINGHAM

December 11, 1963 – September 2, 2026

David was predeceased by his father John (Jack) Cunningham and his brother John.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Linda (Kelly); and children, Steven (Mataya) and Katherine (Nick); his mother Patricia Cunningham; sisters, Pat (Keith) Bell and Terry (Brian) Mymryk; as well as multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Born in Winnipeg in 1963, David began his career in housekeeping at Health Sciences Centre and held a variety of positions as a cook, duct worker, and finally as an automotive mechanic.

During his life he enjoyed a variety of activities, baseball, playing pool, golfing, bowling, car racing and automotive restoration. He made friends with people everywhere he went.

The thing he enjoyed the most was spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted father and a loving husband. He spent several years coaching both his son and daughter in lacrosse and bowling. He was also a member of the Fort Rouge Legion English Billiards team for many years.

Bowling was a passion of David’s and was where he met the love of his life (Linda) at the age of 13 for the first time. Skip ahead to the age of 21 when they met again and started dating. The couple were married in 1993 and were together for 33 years. His last years were spent working on an automotive project with his son. He will be dearly missed.

In keeping with the family’s wishes no funeral service will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date by his family.
