DARLENE MAY CUSTANCE

March 7, 1946 - February 9, 2023

Darlene May Custance was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023 at the St. Boniface Hospital with family by her side at the age of 76.

Darlene was born in Winnipeg on March 7, 1946 to John and Erna Adams. She loved spending time in the kitchen & creating delicious meals for her family (World's best cabbage rolls). Darlene also loved watching her Jets and Bombers play any chance she could, spending her time camping at The Oasis and travelling to many places around the world with her Husband Ted.

She always spoke highly about her 8 cruises. Her grandchildren loved listening to grandma's stories about her travels. Darlene cared deeply about the ones she loved and had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities.

She was predeceased by her father John, mother Erna, brothers Ed & Ron and former husband Allan Gottfried. She is survived by her husband Ted Custance, sister Shirley, daughter Kimberly, grandchildren, Chelsea, Stephen, Brittany (Cortney), Tyler & Arianna, great grandchildren, Riley & Jesse, all of whom brought her great joy and happiness in her life.

Darlene was a homecare worker for my elderly father 12 years ago.  She was always so friendly and chatty and was dedicated to improving my father’s quality of life.  It was a blessing to have Darlene in our lives.
