TERRIN SUSAN DAHL

August 21, 1983 – August 24, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Terrin Dahl passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the ICU of Children’s Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her parents (Murray and Marty), Brother Matthew (Silver, Eillis, Jason), Stephanie (John), her grandmothers (Alma and Susan), as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandpas Blaine and Garth.

Terrin was born and raised in Winnipeg. She attended many schools in Fort Garry. Finally spending 3-4 years at Vincent Massey High School.

Terrin lived a rich, full life despite her disabilities. She loved her car rides with daddy, with no particular destination, walks in her stroller, long baths, and of course grandma’s pickles.

Terrin will be missed by all who knew her, family, friends, and care workers. She was already with hugs and kisses for anyone who needed them.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to the Children’s Hospital.

HEAVEN’S SPECIAL CHILD

A meeting was held quite far from earth
"It's time again for another birth,
Said the Angels to the Lord above,
"This special child will need much love."

"Her progress may seem very slow
Accomplishments she may not show
And she'll require extra care
From the folks she will meet down there.

She may not run or laugh or play
Her thoughts may seem quite far away
In many ways she won't adapt
And she will be known as handicapped.

So let's be careful where she is sent
We want her life to be content
Please Lord, find the parents who
Will do a special job for You.

They will not realize right away
The leading role they're asked to play
But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love

And soon they'll know the privilege given
In caring for this gift from Heaven
Their precious charge, so meek and mild,
Is Heaven's very special child."

I worked with Terrin about 10 years ago now. I still think of her often. I'm so sorry to hear she passed. She was always a light in any room she walked into.

I worked with Terrin at day program and at her home for many years. Terrin brought so much joy to so many people! I will never forget her songs and the way she would dance. She was a busy woman. Always ready to get out for a drive, bike ride or to go enjoy nature. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. My condolences to her family. What a wonderful lady she was❤❤❤
