GAYLE “GG” DARROCH

April 10, 1951 – August 18, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gayle Darroch, lovingly known as Auntie Gayle and GG, at the age of 73, surrounded by her family and friends.

Gayle was born on April 10, 1951, in Carnduff, SK, to Stuart and Gertrude Darroch. She was the youngest of three children. She had a successful 40 year career in nursing primarily at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Gayle had a loving family and leaves behind many who will miss her dearly, including her brother Bob and his wife Betsy; along with their four daughters: Roslyn (Colyn), Allison (Ed), Kristen (Rob), and Kathryn (Travis); her eldest brother Wayne (predeceased); his wife, Elaine; and their two daughters, Sharla (Rodger) and Alana (Larry).

Gayle was blessed with many great-nieces and great-nephews: Declan, Paden, Amelia, Levi, Abby, Quinn, Matthew, Dominic, Kahlea, Kelton, Morgan, Paige, Reid, Hillary, and Austin.

Gayle was rich in friendships and leaves behind many dear friends. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all her friends for the love, care, and support they showed Gayle throughout her life.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm on October 11, 2024, at Breezy Bend Country Club located at 7620 Roblin Blvd, Headingley, MB. At Gayle’s request, this will be a time to share great stories, enjoy “beerages,” and savor delicious food. We invite all her friends, co-workers, and everyone who knew and loved Gayle to join us in celebrating her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Boniface Street Links.

Gayle's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
