Wilbert and Carol Dawson were great friends with my parents ever since we first moved to Winnipeg in 1981. I have such good memories of all of us heading to the beach together in the summers, as well as barbeques and skating parties and good fun being all together. Wilbert and my dad loved their stereos and loved playing records during our visits. Music like Dire Straits and Ral Donner. I'll carry these happy memories always.. Grateful to have known Wilbert. He was a really good guy.

I visited Wilbert a number of times over his stay at Riverview, and brought a few different people along. By far the biggest hit was Kelby, as you can see here. Why was Kelby such a hit with Wilbert? Assistance with his computer, of course! What else are teenagers for? Wilbert did not have a lot of distractions during his stay, so a well-functioning laptop was a big thing for him.
