DARCY HERMAN ALBERT DEBAETS

July 11, 1966 – November 18, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved dad, brother and son, Darcy DeBaets on November 18, 2024, at the age of 58. Darcy was born on July 11, 1966, in Baldur, Manitoba, and spent his final years in Anola, Manitoba.

Darcy was a man who lived life in the moment, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of nature. A passionate outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing, and his connection to the land brought him peace and contentment. Above all, Darcy was a devoted father who cherished his children and loved them dearly. His legacy will live on in his children, Kayla, Kyle (Taylor), and Keith; as well as his grandson, Tyson, who brought him immense joy.

Darcy is also survived by his parents, Alice and Herman DeBaets; his brothers, Cory and Jason (Christal); his nieces, Kate, Ashley, and Raina; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Darcy’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in Darcy’s memory. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be dearly missed.

Darcy’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

My deepest condolences to Darcys family and friends. I worked with him at the BJ two years ago. Darcy was a friendly, easy going coworker who always made me feel safe at work. Even when I wasn't working and on a first date, I instantly felt better seeing Darcy behind the bar because I knew I would be looked out for. I didn't know him all too well, but I knew he was a good person with a good heart. He will be missed

My heartfelt condolences to the children of Darcy, Alice, Herman, Cory & Jason in the loss of Darcy. Darcy was a school mate from kindergarten, right through to our 12th year of high school, graduating together. I have some great memories of those years. Such a beautiful tribute to him. My thoughts are with you all!
