ANNETTE MARIE JEAN D'HEILLY

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette on September 4, 2022, at the age of 80 years.

She is survived by her children Michele Keam (Geoff), Gerard D’heilly and Nicole D’heilly; grandchildren Kristina Labossiere (Marty), Alannah Miller, Ashley Keam-Joyce (Chris), Danielle Miller, Amber Miller and Garett Gunn; great grandchildren Dean Jasper and Carter Joyce; siblings Napolean Langelier (Helen), Alice Chopty, Irene Shpak (Morris) and Norbert Langelier; and many other extended family members and friends.

Annette was predeceased by her husband Henri D’heilly; parents Marie-Anna and Napolean Langelier; sister Lucy Bonneteau (Armand); granddaughter Tamara D’heilly; great granddaughter Thalia Miller and brother-in-law Mike Chopty.

Annette was born and raised with her five siblings in St. Laurent, MB. In 1963, she moved to Winnipeg to marry the love of her life, Henri, and start their family together. They had three children, Michele, Gerard and Nicole, and shared many life adventures until Henri’s untimely passing in 1987.

Annette was a woman who knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She was very active and enjoyed bowling, square dancing and listening to French-Canadian music (“La Bolduc”). She liked spending time in the country, talking and laughing with family and friends, and going for walks. She enjoyed playing cards and other games (“Trouble”) as well as watching the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on T.V. She had a great sense of humor and was known for joking around and teasing everyone around her. She loved cooking and baking and was always trying out new recipes to share. She often brought homemade cakes and goodies to birthday parties and was famous for her bannock and pea soup.

Above all, Annette loved family. She enjoyed spending quality time with loved ones and valued her daily conversations with her kids. She was famous for her big bear hugs and wet kisses and always made everyone feel so loved. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts, and she will be greatly missed.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
