JULIO ISAIAS DIAZ GUEVARA

February 25,1925 – October 18, 2019

With Heavy Hearts we announce the passing of Julio Isaias Diaz on October 18, 2019.

Julio Isaias Diaz was born in Ahuachapán, El Salvador, one of six children of Juan Diaz and Clara Guevara. He married Maria de la Mercedes Gonzalez May 5, 1951 and they had four children together, Julio (Michelle), Ubaldo (Eliude), Ada (Manuel) and Patricia (Marco) and seven grandchildren, Joshue, Maya, Kahlil, Karima, Gabriel, Marco and Lorena. Maria predeceased Julio October 11, 2017 after 66 years of marriage. He missed her very much.

Julio took pride working as a beer salesman, bus driver, construction driver, tailor and bicycle mechanic during his life time in El Salvador, Mexico and Canada.

Julio was constantly learning and his favorite books were his Spanish/English dictionary, his pharmaceutical book and his cook books. He loved having philosophical discussions with family and friends about politics, religion, health and sports. He liked music from the big bands, as well as cumbias. He was stubborn and proud and independent until the end, dying peacefully at home with family, the way he chose.
