Miss Me – But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road,

And the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little – but not for long.

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that once we shared.

Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we must all take,

And each must go alone.

It’s all part of the master plan,

A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart,

Go to the friends we know,

Laugh at all the things we used to do.

Miss me, but let me go.

my sincere condolences to all of you. Laura and I became friends while raising our kids in the Westwood neighbourhood. Although we lost touch throughout the years, I will never forget the time we brought our Chow pups home and our coffee visits together. Reposi in pace Laura!  Lori Anania

I'm so saddened by this news.  Laura whom I first knew in elementary and as a fellow Fort Rouge kid, as Laurie, was such a good and true friend.  So kind, funny, energetic with all those sisters.  I remember playing at her house often.  We met up again as young moms when I moved back from Vancouver and our two daughters played together when she would invite me over to her home with Fernando in St. James.  She was always so kind and generous.  So devoted to her husband and family.  I'm truly sorry for their loss. We did lose touch quite  unfortunately but I have thought of her so often and this is very sad news.  Rest in peace dear Laura. 🙏 💕

My thoughts are with her family at this very sad time. I knew Laura (I knew her as Laurie) back in elementary school. We were very tight friends back then and sleepovers were always a part of the plan. Laurie was always a kind caring person and a lot of fun.  Rest in peace my dear childhood pal you are forever in my memories.

Rest in peace and joy my dear sweet friend Laura. My heart felt prayers and love to your precious family at such a sad time . We were fast friends when we met. The laughs and sneaking out shopping and yard sales..and our walks.and your kindness to my kids  and words of advice and kindness when I was raising my big family .  You even loved my Dad's not so great tasting homemade wine haha.Oh my friend how I will miss you. My heart is heavy with grief. I know how much you loved your husband , children and grandbabies. I picture you watching over them with so much love.  Until we meet again my Dear Sweet Friend, and raise a glass of Dad's wine.

I loved your Mom’s casual sense, and I’ll never forget my doorbell ringing one morning just after she dropped you kids off at school one cold cold winter’s day. The car had broken down, but she hadn’t dressed for the short trip down the street, and there she stood in her pj’s, literally freezing her butt off. We laughed while she called for help, and I could so relate to being a stay at home mom always trying to get you girls to where you had to be. Now that she’s gone, take one day at a time reliving those funny stories because it shaped the great Mom she was, who loved you all so much.
