We met Kevin last year when we moved in, and became friends visiting at his place or many times he would come over to our place.  And from time to time we shared meals with him.  He gifted me a keepsake box and that is where i keep my sage.  We will miss him. Teresa and Kelvin

Over the past year or so, I have had the pleasure to meet and get to know Kevin.   He was not without interesting and intelligent conversation.  He had a knack to make one think a little deeper and question the regular thought patterns to most topics.  I was fortunate enough to hear, through our few conversations, a man who had great appreciation, and respect for all the "others" in his life.  Although these "others" ranged in impact, from his parents who raised him, to  his neighbors that he had minimal encounters with; he still seemed to appreciate and spoke to even the slightest gestures of kindness. He especially mentioned on a regular basis his grandson Marshall and his daughter Bonnie of whom he loved and was so proud.  My sincere condolences.

Kevin was an intelligent and  talented man.  He applied the same attention to detail and high standards to any task, big or small. His finished projects, whether an intricate, hand-polished keepsake box, or a fully renovated house, were showcases of both function and aesthetic appeal. He had a special gift! Rest in peace, Kevin.

I watched Kevin from my living room windows last Spring & Summer, meticulously planting and loving his raised beds and those lovely pumpkins that grew beautifully!  May you all be blessed with fond memories I offer my sincere condolences to you all 🙏💕🌹 Michèle Trudeau

I admired Kevin's intelligence and his deep desire to understand each philosophy that he explored. I was in awe of his craftsmanship and superb creative woodwork. We often shared recipes and ingredients and spent hours comparing hack-solutions for our challenges with electronic devices. I appreciated his passion for gardening, and his love of the outdoors, hunting, and being on water.

Kevin was our backyard neighbour who always called me dear.  Daily he would go by with his dog enjoying the walk going uptown for the mail or something at Vans for whatever he was working on in his shop. He was a talented woodworking man.  He was an organic gardener, he canned, he dried stuff, he baked bread. It was funny to me to see such a tall man on a smaller size lawnmower. Rest In Peace “my dear”.

I will always appreciate Kevin's incredible work as an craftsman and artist.  Some years ago, he came to visit me in Nelson, BC while he was out exploring the mountains and visiting some DePape relatives around Kaslo. We had some great talks over coffee. I appreciate he was an original thinker. In some other time and place, I could see he would have loved to live in a community like the Kootenays, so it was pretty cool to share that visit with him. Over family visits, he always asked how I was doing and I felt his sincerity. My deepest condolences to Bonnie and Marshall and Auntie Linda. Rest in peace Kevin🧡
