SCOTT ALBERT DUBOIS

July 28, 1982 - October 11, 2021

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Scotty.

He leaves to celebrate his memory, his loving parents, Evelyn and Danny Ramsdell; sister Dale; niece Dallas (Chance) and baby Christina; nephew Xavier; stepsister Bobbi-Jo (Dave) and niece MacKenzie; stepsister, Dayna (Cody) and nieces Farrah and Faye; stepbrother Dylan (Kailie) and nephews, Tyson and Jase; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Especially dear to him were his pals Jared (Sara), Sara (Nick), Ciji, and Bruce. He loved all his family and friends, but his greatest love was for his niece Dallas.

Anyone who knew Scott knows he was a gentle giant with a big heart. His gestures were quirky, and his laugh was contagious. He'd go out of his way for anyone who needed help. Scotty had the moves; from playing football in his younger years, to lifting girls in competitive cheerleading, to slamming guys in wrestling (GO SABRETOOTH), to bouncing unruly patrons as barroom security. However, the Carleton will always be remembered as Scott's signature dance move.

He explored many different career opportunities in his young life; Babysitting his younger family members, Aerating golf courses with his uncle Tim, Bar Security, Commercial Printing, and being a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Our family get togethers will never be the same without him. We will miss you. Rest in

peace Scotty aka: Dubz/Scotty LaRue/Sabretooth/Scotland Yard/Donkey Kong.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. It's the family's wish that people get together with those they love and lift a glass to his memory. Throw an act of kindness, and he will be grinning from above. Scotty’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Donations can be made in Scott's memory to The Kidney Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or any other charity of one’s choice.

I only knew Scott a short 5 months. I told him one day that I called him the giant, seems that was not a new description of this lovely man.  Always had a moment to talk, always shared how he was doing with a positive outlook. He certainly has a loving family and for that his mom did a really good job as he became a really good man.  Condolences to his family.

I Will always remember Scotty as this gentle soul inside the body of a bear. Picture this guy running up and down a frozen rink chasing a hockey puck. He was there to be our “enforcer” but he never had much to enforce cause nobody would mess with us with him on the ice. Rest peacefully brother, you will be missed. Condolences to your family and loved ones.

I went to High school with Scotty and was fortunate enough to be able to call him a friend. Come to think of it I don’t know that anyone couldn’t call him a friend. He was the most incredible, warm, funny, and positive person. All of those traits were infectious along with that laugh! He gave the best hugs too…   Scotty you were one of the good ones, the very best.  My most heart felt condolences to his family and friends.

I grew across the street from Scotty on Lumsden. He was one of the best guys I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He always showed my mother and my family the utmost respect. We used to wrestle/horse around at friends house these times were some of the funnest times.  Then later I played football him, I wasn’t  the best football player but he always made sure I was coming to practice and learning. Then I had the pleasure of  Professional wrestling with Scotty briefly as I started close to when he stopped.  I wish we could have shared the ring together more.  I’ll never forget Scotty and his smile and laugh. Rest easy friend.

I have the greatest memories of Scotty in high school. Not only was her a great football player he was an awesome male cheerleader! Scotty you never let me fall you always caught me and you rocked those cheer shorts! His Carlton dance in our cheer routines always had the crowds screaming ! Scotty you are the kindest, most gentle human I don’t think I ever saw you mad. It was alway a  Guaranteed  Smile when you entered a room , you always treated everyone with respect and kindness. The world has lost a kind hearted human. Cheers to you Scotty You will be forever in my heart old friend.
