EDWARD JAMES DUNNING

May 29, 1964 - April 25, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward James Dunning on April 25, 2023. Ed was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague.

He will always be remembered for his caring nature, compassion, and sense of humor. Ed was a positive and loving parent to his daughter and son, and he took great pride in watching them grow into amazing young adults. In the last few years, his two young grandsons brought him an immense amount of joy.

He had a magnetic personality and made friends with ease, regardless of the situation. Ed was a true family man, but he also had a passion for sports, both as a player and a spectator. He loved cheering on his children, nieces, and nephews, as well as his beloved Calgary teams.

Ed's infectious laugh and fun-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Ed, your legacy will live on in the hearts of those whom you touched. We are grateful to have known you, and we are better people because of you.

Rest in peace.

I was looking up Ed for my brother Doug Burton.  Doug wanted me to find him so they could chat and get together.  I haven't got the heart to tell Doug that his friend is gone.  Doug is in a nursing home with memories of the past. Hold on to those memories.  Sorry and sad to find out of Ed's passing.

My sincere condolences, Mary Beth. It's not easy to say goodbye to someone you love so dearly. Know that Ed is watching over you from the other side and is still with you daily in spirit. Miss seeing you and think about you often.

I had the privilege of working with Ed when I helped out a Save on. Instantly he was welcoming and he had the best smile and truly a kind person

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dad, Mat. We didn’t get to meet him but from reading his obituary and getting to know you through Denisse, we know your dad was kind, funny, and sincere - all qualities reflected on you as his son. We continue to pray for you and the Dunning family during this time of immense loss and sadness. Sending our love, the Agpalza families.

My heart bleeds. Edward, you were one of a kind. I will always remember you and I going to the Drive In Theaters.  The Joy of cruise riding in the cherry red car. And going to Selkirk Park for a swim. Those are only the beginnings of good time memories. Love you little brother. May you rest in peace. 💖 Mary Beth, my sister, all my love to you and the kids. You brought my brother love, joy, laughter and his children (family).
