Linda Eckert-Biles

LINDA ECKERT-BILES
January 28, 1961 – January 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Eckert-Biles on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband James “Jimmy” Edwardson and fur baby, Bailey; step son, Sean (Victoria) and grandson Jessie; step daughter Jamie (Chris) with grandsons, Keaton and Elliott.
Family, Diane Craig (Phil), June Klaassen (Vern), Barbara Paras and Kenneth Jones.
With the heaviest of hearts, twin sister and best friend Carol Grealey (Rob), also siblings of her youth and childhood are left to mourn her passing.
Linda was born on January 28, 1961 in Pembroke Ontario. Along with her siblings she was part of a military family who eventually was posted to CFB Shilo. Linda worked briefly on base in the Kitchen and at Trifon’s Pizza. Linda was an exceptional cook both at work and in the home.
She continued to work at Trifon’s which eventually became Astoria Pizza in Brandon. She had both become fixtures at Astoria Pizza both in the kitchen and in the dining room. Linda met many friends and family while working during her time there.
Linda was an excellent, determined and hard worker at any place she was employed. She had worked at Franks Chicken, Perth’s and most recently at Sobeys West End. She faced the toughest job ahead of her when she was diagnosed with cancer. However, she faced that battle with same determination and ethic as she did in life.
Her strength was tiring along the way, but was inspired by the love of her life, Jimmy. Linda and Jim met and fell in love while working together at FRANKS. They were not only partners in life, but the best of friends.
Linda was not only a fighter, she was a proud mother, grand mother and wife. She always had the time to pass along a compliment and the time to listen to you. She loved to have conversations or at least listening to them. This was true to her heart while her stay in the hospital. She had been experiencing such pain and darkness. During this time, she had a moment of brightness when her fur baby made a special visit. She really enjoyed spending another moment with her companion, Bailey.
A celebration of life will be held at Monterey Estates at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Jim and Bailey have requested that you make a charitable donation to the Brandon Humane Society in Linda’s name.
