LARRY MARTIN FALK

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son and brother after a lengthy battle with a progressively debilitating illness. After saying goodbye to his loved ones, Larry left this world to find peace at last, with the support of the Deer Lodge team of caring staff, volunteers, and the loving care given by his brother, Ken, in the later years.  

Larry was predeceased by his loving mother, Shirley; and niece Courtney. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his father and best friend, Abe; siblings, Cindy (Cam), Perry (Kelly), Lori (Phil), and Ken; along with their children and grandchildren.

Larry was a quiet man and protective brother, teaching us how to protect each other if needed. He liked to tease, joke, laugh, and appreciated the time spent with family. When Larry was younger, he and his father, Abe, had the great opportunity of working together for many years at Eaton’s. He was finishing off his career at Adam’s Supply when his health required him to stop working. He was grateful for their kindness and support when they advised him his job would still be there if he ever had the chance to return.

Larry loved all sports; he loved playing baseball and hockey most of his life. He even had the chance to play on a hockey team with his father (who was better, lol.) When illness had him leave the ice he remained a fierce fan of his teams, both in person and in front of the TV.  No matter where he watched he would put on his jersey and would be locked onto the game. He was a faithful Jets and Goldeyes fan, attending games in person when he and his dad were able to, and was excited to be able to attend some Twins games in Minnesota as well.

With his love of classic cars, Larry had to have his own. His pride and joy was his beloved 1970 Pontiac Tempest, 400, 4 barrel, 4 on the floor, which he lovingly babied, shined up for summer cruising, and had quite a few ladies willing to jump in with him.

The family are grateful for the care Larry received in his final days spent at Deer Lodge Centre. No funeral service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
