IRENE FELLOWES

(née KOZAK)

July 30, 1940 - November 22, 2023

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of our beloved Mother. She passed peacefully at Concordia hospital on the morning of November 22, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m.

Irene is survived by her sister Dolly, her daughter Darlene; sons Dennis, Dale, Darrell, Darren, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Irene was predeceased by her father Pvt Steve Kozak, mother Mary Kozak, husband Jack Fellowes.

Born July 30, 1940 in Erickson Manitoba. Irene moved to Winnipeg early in her life, and raised 5 children. She made great memories travelling with Jack in the USA, building a home in Lac du Bonnet and becoming snowbirds in Arizona. Later in life Irene moved into Cathedrale Manor where she would joke and tell us it was like living on a cruise ship.

At keeping with mom’s request, there will be no service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cathedrale Manor for making her last years enjoyable and safe.

We also would like to express thanks and gratitude to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their excellent care.

Irene's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Hospodi pomilui, Hospodi pomilui, Hospodi pomilui. I’ll miss you Mom. You have fallen asleep waiting for the resurrection. At the trial many will witness your good deeds and love. I will follow the Lord’s path and hardships so I too will be in Paradise.

I recall living down the street from you when we were all children.  I was prone to nosebleeds for a time as a child and would go over and be ministered to by your mom, Irene.  She was my first cousin but I was closer in age to Darlene… only a couple of years between us, I believe.  Your mom was always very kind to me and I have warm and fuzzy feelings when I think of her.  I’m so sorry for your loss.  She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed.

We are sorry for your loss. I remember your mom and Uncle Jack visiting Mom and Dad, in their St. Andrews home, our parents visits with Auntie Irene and Uncle Jack, how our moms laughed together. Your mom was loved and will be missed. Eternal memory. Vichna pamyat.
