JAMES RANDY FENNEY

September 19, 1957 – January 12, 2022

We are saddened to announce the passing of J. Randy Fenney on January 12, 2022.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 25 years, Francine Goosehead-Fenney, and beloved son Jessie William Fenney.

Randy is previously deceased by his mother Petranella Hall and father James Fenney.  Randy leaves behind step-father William Hall, sister Wendy Binning, brother Rick Fenney, nieces Ashley, Krystal, and Petra, nephews Aaron, Brandon, Jared, and Conrad, as well as many nieces and nephews on Francine’s side of the family.

Randy was born Sept 19, 1957 in Toronto.  In his youth he played football for the Ottawa Rough Riders.  He did various jobs through his life, but most enjoyed running a pizza shop from 2001 to 2008.

Randy loved to celebrate.  The yard was decorated every Halloween, the house every Christmas.  Throughout the year each holiday had a barbeque or special meal and a chance to enjoy time with family and friends.  Randy also enjoyed camping at St. Malo, Beaver Creek, and Rushing River.

Randy was Francine’s rock, the one she depended on every day.  Randy was a loving, caring man who helped the people he encountered, offering support or guidance in solving a problem.  He will be deeply missed.

A special thanks to those who helped care for Randy – the staff at Seven Oaks, the cab drivers who enabled him to get around, and the folks in the west end who knew and loved Randy.

You are invited to share a favourite memory of Randy at a memorial service on Saturday, February 5rd at 1:30PM, held at New Life Ministries, 514 Maryland St.  In-person guests are required to be vaccinated, please.

If you would like to join the service on zoom, please send a request to New Life Ministries at NLM1@shaw.ca and you will be sent a link.
