MEARLE FERGUSON

Mearle Ferguson, a strong and remarkable woman, passed away on September 29th, 2023, in Morris, MB, after a courageous journey with cancer.

 

Born in Winnipeg, MB, Mearle lived a life filled with love, joy and cherished relationships. She will be fondly remembered by the countless lives she touched and the incredible impact she made.

 

Mearle's greatest achievements centered around her role as a devoted grandmother, where she found immense joy and fulfillment. Mearle is survived by her loving children Amber, Michael, Kara-Lee (Joel), Brandy (Travis) and her grandchildren Myla, Hunter, Lennon, Declan, Bodin and her bonus mother Joan Thorstienson. She was predeceased by her chosen parents, Earle and Joanne Ferguson and her biological father Ray Thorstienson. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love and inspiration.

 

In her early years Mearle got her hairdressing certificate and she was always the phone call when someone needed cleaning advice because of her successful cleaning business.

 

Beyond her role as a doting grandmother, Mearle will be remembered as an amazing friend to many. Her genuine kindness, compassion and ability to listen without judgement were qualities that endeared her to everyone she encountered. Mearle deeply valued h1er friendships and nurtured these relationships with unwavering loyalty and support.

 

In addition to her immediate family members, Mearle leaves behind her partners in crime; sister Elaine, sister Kim, brother Warren, Janice, Monique and Dar, her adoring nephew Chance and beautiful nieces Hope and Faith whom looked to her like a second mom and the wide circle of dear friends from near and far, whose lives were enriched by her presence. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her vibrant spirit, caring nature and unwavering friendship.

 

As we bid farewell to Mearle, let us find solace in the memories we shared and the imprint she left on our lives. She was never prepared for half of what she went through; but she always got through it. May her legacy serve as a guiding light for us to treasure the importance of family, friendship and living life to the fullest.

So sorry to see this.  Mearle and I spent a lot of time together while we were both in different high schools.  Spent many Friday nights at the roller ring in Winnipeg.

Our sincerest condolences to you all.  Mearle was a fantastic woman and had such an impact on my life; one I don’t even know if she realized.  She will be in my fondest memories and forever a part of my world 🩷
