JOSHUA DOUGLAS FIETING

February 25, 2001 - April 10, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Fieting on April 10, 2026 at the age of 25.

Born February 25, 2001, Joshua grew up in North Kildonan, where he built many of his earliest friendships and memories. He attended Angus McKay Elementary, John Henderson middle school, Miles Mac Collegiate and later received his grade 12 diploma at Kildonan East Collegiate.

From a young age Joshua brought light and energy into the lives around him. He found joy in the simple and meaningful things like watching and learning everything about Star Wars, playing soccer, going to the rink with his dad and learning how to skate. He loved video games, laughing and competing with his friends and cherished time spent playing with his little sister.

As he grew older, Joshua developed a love for basketball and continued to feel the most at peace outdoors while camping, going to the beach with his family and spending time at the cabin with his friends.

He had a deep love for animals, showing kindness and compassion to them throughout his life.

He carried himself with an old soul-thoughtful, perceptive and deeply feeling.

Joshua was a kind, loving person known for his wicked sense of humour that could bring laughter even in difficult moments.

Joshua faced challenges later in life and struggled with addiction. Despite the struggles, he remained deeply loved by those who knew him. His warmth , humour and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

Joshua is deeply mourned by his parents, Joanne and Ian Fieting; sister Rae-Lynn Fieting; Nana Darlene Hunt; Auntie Jackie Conner; cousin Tyler Olson; Grandma Joyce Fieting; Opa’s partner Annette Ahlgren; and many more family and friends.

Joshua was predeceased by his Opa Jens Fieting; Grandpa Dave Edward’s and Grandpa Gary Hunt.

Joshua will be remembered for his laughter, his heart and the love he gave so freely.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved and remembered.

A private celebration of Joshua’s life will be held on a future date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made at any addictions programs of choice or the Humane Society.

A child’s soul never dies.

It lives on in the

hearts left behind.

Joshua was a lovely person who I was lucky enough see a lot of as

he lived next door to me as he was growing up. He was always polite, friendly, & kind. If I was out my yard when he came home from school he always stop to chat or offer to give me a hand with whatever I was doing. I thought he was special from the day he was born. He will always have a special place in my heart.

My deepest sympathy to Joanne & Ian, my friend Darlene & to all of his family. "You will be deeply missed Joshua"

I'll always remember what a sweet boy he was and how he loved spending time with Nana Darlene.
