CORINNE GAIL FISETTE

(née PAPINEAU)

October 8, 1954 – November 27, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Corinne Fisette (nee Papineau) on Thursday, November 27, at the age of 71.

Corinne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, who brought light and joy to every room she entered. Her playful humour in gift-giving, her warm presence at every gathering, and her constant care for the needs of others made her truly one of a kind.

Corinne will be lovingly missed by her three children Paul (Pam) Fisette, Rozanne (Vince) Marek, and Joel (Jennifer) Fisette. Grandchildren Montana, Mackenzie, Michael, Maddox, Ben, Cassidy (Danyon), Marcus, Ashley, Tara, Taylore (Jonathan), Julien, and Eric. Great grandchildren Leonidas, Emeral, Laura, Braxton, and Clementine.

She also leaves to mourn Audrey, her siblings Carolyn (Yves) and Adrian (Heather), Dean (Kim); brothers-in-law Benoit (Marilyn) and Ubald (Angelique); sisters-in-law Sr. Thérèse, Marthe (René), Rachel (Georges), Yolande (Adrien), and Camille (Marcel); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends.

Corinne was predeceased by her husband, Gilles Fisette; her parents, Emerille and Dorothy Papineau; and her parents-in-law, Marie and Mathias Fisette.

Corinne was born on October 8, 1954, and raised in Powerview, Manitoba. It was there that she met the love of her life, Gilles at Auntie Lucie’s. The two high-school sweethearts went on to share 48 wonderful years of marriage and raised their three children in their hometown of Powerview. Corinne spent many dedicated years cooking in the town of Pine Falls, working at the hospital, golf course, and daycare. After retiring, she and Gilles moved to St. Pierre-Jolys to be closer to family.

Corinne cherished every moment spent around a table with family and friends playing games, sharing laughter, and creating treasured memories. She loved evenings by the bonfire, dancing the night away at a good old-fashioned social, and was known for her famous Sucre de Crème pies, which she generously shared with everyone. She took great pride in cheering on Gilles and her grandchildren from the stands, and she treasured her many long phone conversations with those she loved. She recently found renewed joy and purpose in running Bingo for the St. Pierre Manoir.

Corinne’s greatest joy in life was caring for and being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will be forever remembered.

“Mom, we will miss you deeply. Yet we are comforted by the thought that you are once again with Dad, Emerille and Dorothy, now and always.”

A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a future date.
