CHARLES ANDREW FISHER

August 22, 1937 – March 20, 2021

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Charlie on March 20, 2021 at the age of 83 years.

He is survived by his partner Cecile of 36 years; children, Pat, Sheryl (Rick), Robert, Deanna, Chrissy, Angela (Peter), Desi (Michelle), as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  His son Greg Fisher predeceases him.

Charlie was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to taking care of his family.  He enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with friends and family, playing cards, outings to casinos and watching game shows and old western movies on TV.  He was never one to turn down a good dessert; he had such a sweet tooth, his favourite being apple crisp and ice cream.

His experiences throughout his life are plenty and he had no shortage of stories that would have everyone laughing and sometimes shaking our heads in disbelief.  He had a good heart and sharp sense of humour.  Charlie we will miss your jokes, smile and many words of wisdom.  We hope you and Greg are enjoying a cigarette and a cold drink wherever you are.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held due to current gather restrictions as per the Public Health Order but a celebration of life will be planned in the near future with close friends and family. In the meantime, Charlie’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

Remember me with a smile today, I was not one for tears. Reflect instead on memories Of all our happy years. Recall to mind the way I spoke, All the things I said. My strength, my stance, the way I laughed. Remember these instead
