SHANNON LAURA FLETT

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Shannon on November 30, 2024 at 10:52pm at the Grace Hospital with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Shannon will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Robert; daughter Raven (Alex); mother Jacquie (Marty); sister Carrie (Kerri); mother in law Rebecca; sister in laws, Brenda and Jennifer; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her dogs, Thomas, Casey, and Sadie. Shannon is predeceased by her father Peter Polschak; and father in law Alfred Flett.

Shannon was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba at St. Boniface Hospital on June 08, 1970 to Jacquie Chetwell and Peter Ploschak.

Shannon grew up in the north end of Winnipeg and went to Champlain Elementary School, and then graduated from St. John's High School. Later on, Shannon graduated from Herzing College of Winnipeg to become a Legal Assistant.

Shannon was married to her loving husband Robert for 35 years and had a beautiful daughter Raven who is now 26 years old.

Shannon was a very caring and loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was hilarious and liked to make people laugh, and would always greet you with a smile and a hug.

Shannon loved Christmas and going to Winnipeg Beach in the summer. When she was younger Shannon loved going to the family’s cabin in Wallace Lake, Manitoba.

Shannon had been through a lot in the past 20 years of her far too shortened life. Battling cancer four times and successfully beating it the first three times, the fourth bout with cancer she fought with everything ounce of strength, courage, and her desire to live. Sadly, Shannon wasn't able to beat this horrible cancer.

We will be having a celebration of life for Shannon from 1:00pm – 4:00pm on January 12, 2025 at Vince Leah Recreation Centre located at 1295 Salter St.
