DIANE FORD

December 2, 1948 - October 19, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Ford (née Ross), at the age of 73, on October 19, 2022, with her family by her side.

She leaves to celebrate her memory, her husband Edmund; daughters, Sandra (Allan) and Sheila (Edwin); and son Gary. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Hope (Shayne), Nick, Brandi (Lorenzo), Summer, and Kolby; and her great-granddaughter Layla.

Diane was a stay-at-home mom, raising her three kids, until she decided to go to work when they got a little older. She worked in the restaurant at Woolco, continuing after Walmart took over for many years, as a cashier.

In her retirement years, she took a few painting courses, enjoying it immensely. She painted many nature pictures, which were all added to her gallery wall at home.

Diane was a jack of all trades. She loved to build and do home renovations, always eager to help if anyone had a project to do.

Diane will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors. She loved to garden and had the prettiest yard on the block. She loved to camp as well, among her favourite places were West Hawk Lake and Birds Hill.

She and her family all went to Florida many times in the fall. She loved the sun and the heat.

Diane’s family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Aides, and staff who took care of her while in the St. Boniface Hospital.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held. Diane's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

My condolences to the family ❤️ I will always treasure the many memories I have of Diane and the fun times we shared. We worked together, played games , went to a friends daughter’s wedding at the park and had a great time whenever we spent time together and I will always miss that!

Ohhh my sister from another Mr. I will truly miss you with all my heart.  You and Hope were my camping buddy's my best friend at work and my ear when my momma died. Remembering all the laughs i had with you laughing with you. Hiding beer in the forest while I would go pay for our camping spot then returning not being able to find the beer. Or not to sure about the plastic bag.....you know what I mean my friend. I will not say goodbye but I will say until we meet again. I love you Diane 😍 💗
