Walter Fraser

WALTER FRASER
August 3, 1933- February 15, 2022
Our Dad and Grandfather, Walter passed away early morning, Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
He is predeceased by partner Audrey Fraser (Lenoski); son James Fraser; sister Olga Korolyk; mother Pearl Korolyk; father Michael Skomorok; and Puff (the pekingese).
Walter is survived by children, David (Kerry) Fraser, Lynda Fraser, Evelyn (Jacques) Rice, and Patty (Dave) Fraser; grandchildren, Samantha, Shelby, Justin, Ashley, Isaac and Avery; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in the city and abroad.
Our parents resided in St. James for over sixty years. He enjoyed model airplanes, golfing, tapping his fingers on the wheel to Dire Straits while driving, fishing, Gimli trips with Audrey, and also became a huge fan of online airplane simulation. His pride was his family and having some laughs during holidays and birthdays and of course, dinners at our homes with a huge nod to homemade pierogies by Grandma Sabina and Kerry Fraser.
The family thanks the wonderful staff at Oakview Place for their outstanding kindness and care which was integral to his wellbeing… in particular Tatjana Koslenko, unit coordinator for concern and guidance.
A celebration of life will take place in spring 2022 for both Walter and Audrey. If you are a friend of the family, please contact for more information.
Walter's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
