NOELLE FRIESEN

12/24/1946 – 04/29/2023

With saddened hearts, we announce that Noelle passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Menno Friesen; son, Chris Friesen (Courtney Huber); daughter, Andrea Mick (Dave Mick); grandchildren Summer, Noah, Max, Brandy; sister, Judy Main (Doug Main), many nieces, nephews and so many friends.

Menno and Noelle were a true love story. They were married within months of meeting more than fifty years ago. They journeyed through life together, loving each other deeply while raising and nurturing a beautiful family. They shared so many adventures together, travelling the world and closer to home. Winters were spent in Arizona where they were fortunate to continue their love of the warmth and outdoors, golfing, exploring, and socializing with the many amazing friends they gained over the years. Summers in Manitoba meant the lake. Noelle’s love of the water began as a child at Clearwater Bay. As an adult, it was Falcon Lake, a very special place as this was where she became engaged to Menno. Noelle was a part of and cherished her many golf groups and weekly bridge groups which she enjoyed immensely over the years.

To know Noelle was to know her kindness, considerate nature, loving personality, and extreme loyalty.

Noelle touched so many lives in a positive way. She leaves countless, lifelong friends who were

touched by her warmth. When Noelle was in the room, you often heard her laughter and the laughter of friends and family. She had a great sense of humour and quick wit. Noelle didn’t just share a laugh with people; she loved to cook and bake for her friends and family and would always share her recipes with anyone who asked.  Noelle was an exceptional, wife, mother, aunt, Grandma, Gramzz and friend to so many. She will be deeply missed.

Love you to the moon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider a donation to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Care Manitoba, or St. Boniface Hospital.

We invite you to share in a Celebration for Noelle beginning at 4pm, on May 29, 2023,  at Breezy Bend Country Club. 7620 Roblin Blvd, Winnipeg MB

I worked with Noelle at Hy-Line Credit Union. She was truly a kind and sincere person. She wouldn’t gossip but would find the silver lining. She got me hooked on 5th Ave jewelry!  A pleasure to have known her. My condolences. Joan Tennese-Hood

I did not know Noelle very well at all.  She was a member of our CWLA here in Sun lakes. I was shocked and saddened by her passing. I recently lost my husband as well so I know the pain . I wish you and family all the support and love for each other. May your love and memories make each day a celebration of what you  once gad. God Bless you and your family.

I knew Noelle for only a couple of years, and gosh, I wish I could have known her for much longer. What a wonderful, kind, intelligent and fun person she was! It is my hope that the family and friends can reach into their magnificant basket of memories for comfort as they navigate through the sudden grief and loss.

If Noelle would have had time to write a letter to Menno, her family & many friends I believe this may have been her thoughts... I have lived my life, I have tried my best, the memories I hold dear of happiness & tears, the love of my family, the care of my friends, the good times I have shared right to the end. I have traveled life's byways, experienced life's living, I leave you with memories with thoughts of you all, I am no longer with you but your mind will recall, the good times we shared, the laughs that we had, please cherish these memories knowing my spirit lives on in your hearts. ❤

Noelle was a true friend from the moment we met many years ago. I have so many memories from golfing, curling, partying, laughing, racing each other on the Saturday crossword puzzles at Falcon Lake to quiet times just being friends. I will miss her terribly and cherish every moment I had the privilege of being her friend. My heart goes out to Menno, Chris, Andrea and their families. Noelle was truly one of a kind.

Our sincere condolences go out to you Menno and your family. This was a beautiful tribute to Noelle. She will be surely missed. We will miss seeing her smiling face in Sun Lakes. We lost her much too early and much too sudden. I always remembered her BD because of her name and your anniversary as it’s the same date as ours….but longer! I remember a long time ago when we still lived in Winnipeg asking how she handled moving so often as you sold yet another home to a client. But she wasn’t the least bit bothered….just another adventure with her life partner. Maretta and Doug
