GILBERT HENRI JOSEPH GAUTRON

April 15, 1954 – December 28, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce that Gilbert passed away on December 28th, 2025 at the age of 71.


He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Yvonne in 2022; and survived by his children, Daniel (Viveen), Monique (Mario) and Chantal; grandchildren, Alexandria, Liam and Jasmina; siblings, Lucille, Yolande, Roger, Paul and Michel; extended family and friends.


Gilbert was born to Antonia (née Massinon) (later married to Benoit Gagne) and Joseph Gautron in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB and grew up in Haywood, MB. Gilbert and Yvonne met in Winnipeg in 1977 and were married in Ste. Rita, MB on July 7th, 1979.


Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Gilbert quickly found that he was a kind and caring person with a great sense of humor.


Gilbert loved the outdoors. He always looked forward to spending time at the lake, fishing, camping and canoeing, with White Lake and Rainbow Falls being his favorite places to visit.

In accordance with Gilbert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 1396 Plessis Road, Winnipeg, MB at Abundant Life Baptist Church.
