Wow, so sad. Just hearing now about the passing of a great guy. Gerald and I worked together at Schneiders and Maple Leaf. We attended a number of Jets games together and shared a ton of laughs and stories. Heaven better prepare for a lot of laughs and stories. Rest in peace old friend.

Gerald was always accepting and friendly. Although we lost touch over the years, we connected about two years before his death. During those years we (Gerald, George, myself and sometimes my sister Annett) would meet up at the Mission. We would pray and talk about his life. Later when he was at the hospital we would go down and do the same. He was ready to meet his Lord and Saviour. I always liked Gerald but it was during those visits that I grew to love and admire him. I miss him. But, I look forward to seeing him again and it is a real comfort to know that he is enjoying the Heavenly presence of God! Thank you Gerald for your friendship, love 💕 your sister twice over, Mary-Ann Roy

Hands down one of the funniest and intelligent men I have ever had the privilege of meeting and being friends with. Our annual road trips to St Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Montreal could have been made into a Grammy Award Winning documentary. His last text to me less than a month before he passed was ‘Never forget your a child of God,’ Its impossible to forget you Gerald…..

Ahhhhh, Gerald.  I was so saddened to find out today that you had passed away.  My husband, Chuck, and I go back many years with you, when our boys played hockey together.  Those were the good old days!  The bonds all of us hockey parents made with each other have remained to this day.  Even though we haven't seen you in quite a while, we still thought and reminisced about you so often, especially whenever we are together with John and Linda.  Rest in peace, Gerald.  My deepest condolences to your family.  Carol Wilson
