ANDRÉ JOSEPH ROBERT GÉRARDY

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our beloved brother and friend André.  He passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the age of 59.  Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, he remained positive and never lost his sense of humour.

Né à St-Labre, il fût précédé dans la mort par ses parents Georgette Comeault et Jean Gérardy.

Left to cherish his memory is his long-time, dear, and supportive friend Dorothy Boles, her son, Douglas, and daughter Keiley.  Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Guy (Hedy) et ses sœurs Claire (Jacques), Lucienne (Santiago), Paulette, Rose-Marie (Rick), Rita (Kevin) et Huguette (David) ainsi que ses neveux et nièces.

André was very skillful in a wide range of hands-on trades such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and had a passion for audio equipment. He never met a speaker he didn’t like. André was a hard worker, adept in many fields, and keenly interested in world events.

André was smart, witty, and funny.  Il était une personne logique et pragmatique avec une franchise parfois désarmante lui donnant ainsi une perspective du monde bien à lui.  

Généreux et doux, André, on t’aime et tu nous manqueras.

A private interment ceremony will be arranged in St. Labre at a later date.

Flowers are respectfully declined. Those so wishing may make a memorial donation to Cancer Care Manitoba.
