Sandra Giesbrecht

SANDRA JOYCE GIESBRECHT
(née Gardner)
January 9, 1954 – May 26, 2026
Sandra passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at the age of 72, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born in Grenfell and later making her home in Winnipeg, Sandra built a life centered around family, friendship, and togetherness. Predeceased by her parents John and Madge Gardner. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Giesbrecht; her children, Erin Sheldon (Derrick) and Bain Giesbrecht; her grandchildren, Jayna, Mara, Davin, Mckaela, Danika, and Ava; and her sister, Linda Ahronson (Rod).
Sandra and Dennis married and, in their late twenties, began the family that became the heart of her world. She devoted herself fully to her children, never missing a game, practice, or special moment. Whether it was girls’ night dinners, card games with friends, tea shared with lifelong companions, or cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Sandra brought warmth and joy wherever she went.
Known for her incredible meals (and chocolate chip cookies) and the way she gathered people around the table, Sandra leaves behind not only treasured memories but recipes filled with love that will continue to bring her family together for years to come.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with smiles, stories, and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dakota Lawn Bowling Association at 1212 Dakota Street on Saturday, June 6, from 11:00 to 1:00.

Erin and Dennis
I will always remember how excited she would get when she had a chance to see my girls. She was so great with them, especially when we came over to watch football and have farmer sausage pizza!
