ROBERT ALLAN GRAHAM

February 23, 1967 - August 22, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce that Robert (Bobby) passed away from pulmonary fibrosis on August 22, 2022 with loved ones by his side.

He was predeceased by his mother Jane and sister Linda and is survived by his loving children Tegan and Brendan, their mother Moracine, his father and stepmother Joseph and Carolyn, his brother Jim (Aleta), numerous nieces and nephews, his extended Graham family, and many friends.

Robert attended St. John’s-Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg and Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ontario. He received his Applied Counselling Certificate from Red River College, and eventually found his passion working as the Executive Director of Two Ten Recovery. He was diagnosed with a progressive degenerative disease in his early 40s and was unable to continue in his chosen profession.

His childhood sanctuary was the family cottage at Lake of the Woods. There, with his parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and many cousins, he lived his best life. “The lake” remained his happy place and he made many memories with his family once he had children. His children were the light of his life; they were his steadying force and his reason for being.

Robert was warm, funny, and generous. With a flash of his bright smile and cracking a joke, he put people at ease instantly and made friends wherever he went.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations would be gratefully received by the Linda Joanne Graham Transplant Awareness Fund at The Winnipeg Foundation or at the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

A celebration of his life will be held on at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).

Robert's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Bobby was one of my childhood best friends at the Lake of the Woods. Together with his sister Linda, plus Simon Murray and Shannon Hill, that lake was our summer Safari.  I will always remember Bobby’s smile and sparkling eyes… arguably the bluest eyes of any Canadian! When we were kids…that smile was a collection of giant Chiclets that could challenge anyone’s guard!  Nowadays, as I cast a wake en route past Mackies Island, I sheepishly smile and shake my head at all the fun we had there.  I think fondly of Bob and Linda …and Jimmy,  Sarah, Art, Kathleen, Anne, Kim, Lynno and Richard.. and all of the family fun we shared together, either on that island or way down the lake with raucous parents who knew how to celebrate life. Godspeed Bob ..and Linda.. and Kathleen… Love Ashleigh Banfield❤

News of your death from Pulmonary Fibrosis is so sad. Your sister and mother died much too young and reading your obit allowed me to learn much more about your life. I left Winnipeg just before you were born but Joe and Jane were my best friends and I'm sure you would have been also. I also have Pulmonary Fibrosis but at a much older age than you.
