Rose-Marie Graveline
ROSE-MARIE GRAVELINE
February 1, 1948 - August 22, 2024
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother Rose-Marie Graveline, at ActionMarguerite, on the morning of August 22, 2024 at the age of 76.
Rose-Marie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Paul Graveline; her daughters, Brigitte (Normand), Michelle (Weber) and Joanne (Ryan); and her 10 grandchildren: Cole, Brady, Jade, Phoenix, Riley, Chase, Chloe, Holly, Gage and Ella. She is survived by her brother Lucien. She was predeceased by her parents, Alphonse and Anne-Marie Loiselle.
Rose-Marie grew up in Winnipeg and studied at Universite de Saint-Boniface to become a teacher. Rose-Marie was a teacher for many years. She was not only a teacher in profession but also in life.
Rose-Marie married the love of her life, Paul, in 1971 and they started their family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong woman, always there when you needed her, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. She was a selfless, devoted and compassionate person. Rose-Marie loved angels and was always sending them to your side. She brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her radiant smile and laughter. Rose-Marie found beauty in life's simple moments and encouraged us to do the same. Though we will miss her deeply, the love and happiness we shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Rose-Marie loved to be surrounded by her whole family at all occasions, especially at Christmas which was her favorite time of year. She loved it so much, she often left her Christmas tree up for a few extra months after the holiday. There could never be enough Christmas lights or decorations for Rose-Marie. Let's not forget her famous shortbread cookies with red and green cherries.
Her favorite activities included gardening, reading and listening to music from her favorite country singer George Strait. Rose-Marie loved spending time tending to her beautiful gardens and feeding her bird and bunny friends.
Heaven gained another angel and she will protect us forever.
Cremation has taken place. According to Rose-Marie’s wishes, a private burial was held in her honour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Rose-Marie’s memory.
We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman.
Rose-Marie’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
Legacy of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
