DANIEL “DAN” HARDER
October 2, 1945 - February 25, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dan Harder, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His passing will leave a huge void in the hearts of all that loved him.
Dan was born and raised in Arden, Manitoba and was the first born of 6.
In his teens Dan started working at Pool Elevators and would send money home to help his parents. A testament that family came first.
On July 31st, 1971 Dan married his beloved wife Pat. They moved to Winnipeg and stayed there for a couple of years until they purchased their first home in Niverville where they raised their 3 daughters.
One of Dan's greatest joys was being a grandfather.
His love for music is something that radiated through him. Through his music Dan could speak without words.
Dan loved camping, fishing and spending time outdoors with his grandkids. He loved going to the car races, something that he had been doing since he was 12 years old and continued to do with his brother and oldest grandson.
His early morning coffee with his brother will be missed.
Dan is survived by his loving wife Pat; daughters, Carrie (Stan) and Jodi; son in Law Carl (Wanda); grandchildren, Sebastian, Zoe (Cayden), Gavin, Seth, Chenoah (Sayer), Joshua (Nicole), and Dawson; brothers, Ed and Frank; and sisters, Irene, Diane (Henry), Darlene; plus his close friends.
He is predeceased by his daughter Tami; his parents, Frank and Anne; his father in law Peter; brother in law Ron; and sister in laws, Darlene and Cindy.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 at the Word of Life church located at 233 3 St S, Niverville, MB.
Dan’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Dad I love you so much, for over 30 years you stood by my side and graciously and lovingly called me your son. I will always cherish the times we had together, renovating your house in Emerson, or the times we played together in your band. You were a strong man, but so gentle and caring. I will miss you Dad. I'll see you in Heaven some day.
Carl

Dear Dan, I thought that when I spoke to you the next time, it wouldn't be this way. Thank you for traveling through our childhood, adolescents, and adulthood with us. Now that you are going on your next journey, and you have that 88 at the start line... Look out your side window... You may see the Blitz!! Always remember, it's one, two, three, GO!!

Dan was always so welcoming and kind to me. I will always remember that We had great laughs and big hugs whenever we could be together. We are never ready for heaven to call a loved ones name. So we cherish all the love and memories that will remain. We will see and feel them with us, in many different ways. For they will walk beside us, as we continue on our way. Dan's love for you stays forever, in every single way. May he rest in heaven's peace now. And forever... Let his music play. 🙏🌈🙏 Much love and big hugs to all of Dan's family and friends. 🙏🌈🙏 From Brenda Reimer.
