We share the sorrow that all the family is feeling but also in the joy that Brian brought to your lives. While we were't able to spend a lot of time with Brian, it always felt like we had when we did see him.  And we feel that way now after the wonderful video tribute. Our thoughts are with you all. Brian was my buddy in those crazy days of  youth. Yes Grace, I was the one always phoning from all over  telling Brian to meet me in small town Manitoba. He was always caring, respectful and of course, fun! Jet games, lake fun and bar bands, Salisbury Cheese Burgers...he was my wing man! Later, we touched base with phone calls. I shall miss those! My sympathy is extended to Grace, Frank, Brian's kids and the family. - Linda Grieve

Beautiful and moving tribute to cousin Brian and the Hay Clan.  His American cousins didn't get to see him often enough, but when we did, he was always a delight to be around.  I feel so fortunate to have had a visit at the 2011 reunion.  His phone call consoling me a few years ago after the passing of my father (his Uncle Bill) and his beloved Jane meant so much to me - - - we shared a good cry and a few laughs. My deepest sympathies to Auntie Grace and Brian's entire family. Hold fast to the memories. Ruth Pattinson Peterson

My condolences to the Hay family, very nice video tribute to Brian. I met Blue Eyes in 1975 when I began my work carreer at Manitoba Hydro. Brian and I hit it off and we enjoyed many fine moments together, especially those bus trips down to Minneapolis for baseball and hockey! You will be missed Brian but not forgotten, rest in peace my friend. Jeff Bencharski

It is so hard to believe Brian is gone -  We were friends since meeting at the Jets games with Bruce so many years ago.   I have such good memories - Jets, Bombers, Bus Trips, The Burnouts, Bruce's lake etc, etc.  Grace - I am so very sorry for your loss.  Frank - it must be so hard to lose your little brother.  Please know that we share your loss.  Sending you hugs and please let us know when you have a memorial, I would very much like to attend.  Love Judy Josephson Friesen.  xo
