ANGELA HAYWOOD

March 7, 1959 – November 20, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Haywood on November 20, 2023, following a truly courageous battle with breast cancer.

Angela will be forever missed by her beloved husband and best friend of 30 years Matt, her sons Marcus and Eric, her mother Agnes, brothers George and Dave, her sister Jackie, nieces Megan and Danielle, nephews Jonathan and James, her loving cat Katy, and the wonderful friends with whom she shared her love and her life. She was predeceased by her husband Eddie, son Shawn, and father Emil.

Angela leaves behind a legacy of grace and kindness.  She embodied humility, compassion, tolerance, and the ability to find light and humour through the toughest of times.

Special thanks the incredible health care teams at Victoria Hospital and Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Cancer Care Manitoba, or the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 29th at 2 PM at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg, 603 Wellington Crescent.

Angela’s family kindly requests that all her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by watching the photo tribute above (check back soon!). Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

My condolences to Matt and also to Angela’s friends & family. I moved next door to Angela 5 years ago and could not have asked for a better neighbour   ❤ I will miss our chats over the fence. Rest in peace. You did not deserve to suffer in any way. My heart breaks for Katy too 😺
