Keith Hedin

KEITH WAYNE HEDIN
1946 – 2026
Keith Wayne Hedin of Winnipeg passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 79. Keith’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Keith is lovingly remembered by his children, Stephen Treller and Sheila (Anthony) Provenzano; the mother of his children, Arlene Treller; and his cherished grandchildren, Roberto and Gabriella Provenzano. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Thelma Hedin, his brother Cameron Hedin, and his sister Elaine Kobitz.
Raised in Beinfait, Saskatchewan, and as a young adult, Keith found his way to Winnipeg, where he established his roots.
Keith retired from Northwest Airlines after more than 30 years of service, where he was well-regarded for his kindness and work ethic. A lifelong music lover, Keith found great joy in playing the guitar and listening to music. His friends will fondly recall their many coffee breaks and his signature love for sugar cubes, often sparked by their familiar invitation, "Allons pour café?" In his later years, Keith’s charm, bright blue eyes, and smile continued to win over the hearts of those who cared for him.
At Keith’s request, no memorial service will be held. In his memory, the family would like you to take a moment to enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to a song that reminds you of him.

I enjoyed working with Keith at Northwest Airlines but really got to know him when I was a relief agent one summer and went to nights. Keith loved his music and I had just bought a Bose CD player and he wanted to see it. I brought it to work and he sure enjoyed that and knew his music. So many great conversations over the years, a gem of a man. RIP Keith ❤️ Deepest condolences to all his family 🙏🏼

I had the honour of working with Keith at Northwest Orient for many years
I worked the eveninng shift for a few years and one evening a fellow came into the back office office yelling and screaming at me. Thank goodness Keith came in when he did! He saved from a not nice situation. Keiths kindness and corny jokes were so appreciated. I liked to watch him hold a ruler when he printed his tiny tiny letters
So many memories hold u fast
today tomorrow our whole lives though
yur NWA family will remember you.

I knew Keith from his early days at Northwest Orient and then re-connected with him in his later years when we both worked at Birchwood Automotive group doing Customer Shuttle. I will remember Keith as always being a very kind hard working guy.

This is such a beautiful tribute to Keith's life ❤️I had the pleasure of working with Keith for many years, he was a great mentor and I learned a lot from him. He always told his stories with so much passion and he was so dedicated to his job, always paying close attention to detail and looking after our passengers and cargo customers. He never hesitated to help out when we needed him and he always had our back. Keith, it was a pleasure knowing you and working with you. You will be greatly missed but you will always remain in our memories and our hearts. Our deepest condolences to the family.❤️🌷🙏

Worked with Keith for 23 years at Winnipeg Airport. He was a kind, generous, trustworthy friend. We enjoyed many a coffee together.
Like a good Swede he loved coffee even drinking it as a child complete with sugar cube inside his bottom lip. He had a great sense of humour and loved telling and hearing jokes, especially Bob's.
Condolences to Sheila, Arlene, and Stephen.
