It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Herie (nee Clement), with her family by her side on March 31, 2024, at Riverview Health Centre, at 80 years old.
Left to mourn her loss, her husband Albert of 64 years, daughter Anita (Dennis), son Keith (Katie), grandchildren Lonnie (Tara), Dwayne, Mercedes, Christopher (Lisa), Chase (Rhyanan), Chance and great-grandchildren Tiernan, Dolly and Lilly. Also left to mourn are her sisters Paulette Schierling, Madeliene (Earl) Wuzinski, her brothers Richard Clement, Armand (Leslie) Clement, Claude Clement, in-laws Terry (Al), Claudette, Aline (Dennis), Roalnd (Sharon), Henry, Sandra and her beloved dog Sassy.

Mom grew up in St. Boniface and St. Vital which is where she met dad as a youngster. Fate brought them back together many years later. They were married in 1960 and raised 4 children while living in St. James.
In her earlier years, mom was quite crafty. Mom loved to crochet and many of us received at least one of her blankets. She was also an avid reader and baker.
Thank you to CancerCare and the Palliative nurses and staff at Riverview 3 East for the care, compassion and support during mom’s last days.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Green Acres Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 1 Green Acres Lane in Navin, MB. Rev. Karen E. Toole will be officiating, with the interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choosing.
Eva’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

I am so happy that you kept my brother Al happy for 64 years. You should be congratulated on such a long and happy life together. I know Albert is lost without you. I told him that he and Sassy need each other right now. Rest in peace Eva.and please keep an eye on my brother. He still needs you by his side.

Our Deepest condolences to everyone. We met Eva through our daughter Tara and son in law Lonnie. She loved to have conversations and truly loved her grandchildren. She told us a story about her boom box and Lonnie. Lonnie asked to,use it and his grandma Eva said sure but you have to play my music as well. She was pleasantly surprised when Lonnie already had that music ready. Loved her visits to Tara and Lonnie’s farm. That is were we got to enjoy a couple of great conversations with her and Lonnie’s grandpa.
She was a truly amazing person.
RIP and may you fly with the Angels.

Our hearts are with Al, and family in this time of sorrow. Eva was a beautiful friend and amazing neighbor. We will deeply miss the long chats and laughter we shared over the the fence together and all the tasty fresh baked goodies she would share with us, like her zucchini cake and rhubarb crisp ❤️
