Beatrice Horkoff
BEATRICE “BEADY” ANN HORKOFF
November 9, 1951 – October 16, 2024
Beatrice Ann Horkoff was born November 9, 1951, in Churchill Manitoba. The family later moved to Winnipeg where Beatrice (“Beady” to her friends) grew up. She attended Earl Grey School where she was popular and had many friends, many of who became lifelong friends.
After graduation she worked at Woolco where she indulged in her love of clothes and fashion. Shortly after she left Winnipeg for Penticton B.C. where she met and married Robert Horkoff and had her beloved son Alan. She and Rob moved to Vancouver briefly but eventually returned to Penticton where they were close to their family She worked for Walmart for 25 years, eventually retiring in 2019.
She then returned to her roots, moving back to Winnipeg in 2019, reuniting with her friends. Beatrice was a beautiful girl who grew into a beautiful woman. She was dearly loved by her friends who will miss her immensely. The luncheons and annual get togethers will never be the same without her.
She was a loving mother, very proud of her son Alan who was her pride and joy. Sadly, due to failing health, she missed his wedding to Jessica but was very happy for them both and welcomed Jessica with a loving heart.
Beatrice was pre-deceased by her parents Earl and Joyce Yeo; stepfather Henry Horkoff; and husband Robert. She leaves behind her son Alan and his wife Jessica; family in B.C.; along with her friends, old and new.
Beatrice’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Bea, my dear dear friend! I will treasure our friendship, May your soorit rest peacefully and Heavens Choir sing your praises on your first Birthday in Heaven ✨❤️ 🕊️ Thank you for all the love, and the laughter you shared with me and my family🙏
Bea and I worked together at Walmart, that is where our friendship began. We shared our Winnipeg Pride and lived to spend breaks together giggling about the things in life that struck us as funny. We often spoke on the phone after she returned to our home province, chatting and laughing. May Alan and Bea's family and friends all find comfort in our memories and the love that we share for Bea as we carry her with us in our hearts, never to be forgotte, but cherished eternally ✨🕊️❤️
