Craig Hotson

CRAIG HOTSON
November 15, 1942 – September 29, 2025
On Monday September 29, 2025 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Craig Hotson passed away after many years of declining health.
Craig is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn; his sons, George (Amy), Gary, and Ken; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, Max, Charlotte, Zachary and Emily. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Wendy (Scott) and Cheryl (Leonard); brother-in-law Tom (Bev); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Craig was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and grew up in Montreal and Ottawa. He moved to Winnipeg with the Air Force in 1964. He worked in both real estate and as a police officer prior to joining the Manitoba government Department of Tourism where he worked for nearly 30 years.
Besides family, Craig's second love was golf. He was a proud member of St. Charles Country Club for almost 30 years, playing in various leagues and serving on the Membership Committee where he enjoyed meeting new members and introducing them to his favourite place. When his health dictated he could no longer play at St. Charles, he began to play online and did so until his passing.
Craig was also a long-time member of Westwood Presbyterian Church.
A special thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home that Craig called home for the last 5 1/2 years.
Craig’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
