DONALD (DONNIE) HUPPE

​

February 5, 1960 – May 27, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our brother Donnie at the grace hospital with his family by his side.

 

Donnie had a battle with cancer which he fought like a “warrior” the cancer did not take him, pneumonia set in, his already compromised immune system couldn’t fight anymore.

 

Donnie was one of the strongest, bravest people we knew to have endured what he did. He had a “Heart of Gold”

 

He is predeceased by his loving mother Kathy Liston (Bill); father Ray Huppe; as well as Devon and Trevor.

 

He will always be in the hearts of his loving siblings, Michael (Joan), Debbie (Rick), Kim (Don), Tammy (Raymond), and Terry; longtime girlfriend, Tracy (Kathryn, Kyle, Liam, Mylie, and Damon); as well as many cousins and extended family.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced here when more information is available.

To my brother from another mother. You knew that I loved you and you know that I'm crying as I do this. It is a fine line between love and hate and in our relationship. We cross that line many times. But I knew you always had my back and you knew I had yours. Last time we were together. I told you how happy I was that you had Liam in your life. Liam saved your life and you gave Liam a life. You were brimming with pride over his archery. I'm so glad that you found happiness before the end. And I'm also glad to know that you went surrounded by the important women in your life except for your mom who was waiting for you. I have never known this kind of pain or emptiness. You fill the place in my life that I didn't know needed filling. I'm going to miss you forever and ever I love you my brother.

Donny although we did not get to see each other often as distance does some times. You were such a special part of our lives. So many fun times stories and memories. So many laughs. We love you . Rest easy cousin and  dance with the angels.

Just wanted to leave a note, I know my Dad(Al) loved you and you were a dear friend to him. It was great seeing you last time I was in Winnipeg, I’m glad we got to hear old stories and tales of your days together. My condolences are with your family. Rest easy Donnie.
