Louis Jackson

In Loving Memory of
LOUIS PATRICK JACKSON
December 21, 1946 – May 23, 2025
It is with quiet reflection and fond memories that we announce the passing of Louis Jackson (age 78), a lifelong friend, a gentle soul, and a man who lived life on his own terms.
Louis was predeceased by his mother Florence; and husband Lou. He is survived by sisters, Leona and Paulette; and family; and remembered with affection by his friends, Richard & Henry, who shared in his quiet friendship over the years.
Louis was a quiet man—never one to seek the spotlight—but those who knew him will remember the calm strength he carried and the deep loyalty he offered to those close to him.
In his younger years, he travelled to British Columbia with his lifelong friends Richard and Henry, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
He loved to roller skate and spent many happy hours at the Winnipeg roller rink, where he also worked for a time. Louis went on to build a long and dedicated career at Quest Metal, working there for approximately 31 years making fryers for restaurants.
Outside of work, he found joy in his own company and in simple pleasures—you would find him studying the horse race forms, placing a hopeful bet, spending time at the casino. He found comfort in these familiar places, and joy in the little victories.
He also had a hobby of collecting model cars, planes, trucks, and motorcycles—each one a small piece of a world he quietly appreciated.
Though Kennedy’s disease challenged him in his final years and at times dimmed his spirit, the quiet strength that defined Louis was never lost—it remained, steady and true, in the hearts of those who knew him.
May he rest in peace.
