MARSHALL (BUD)
WARNER JAMES

July 18, 1939 - January 31, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marshall (Bud) Warner James on January 31, 2023, at the age of 83.

He is remembered lovingly by his wife Ruth (née Arde), daughters Adrienne (Blair), Leah (Glen), and Carol, stepdaughter Kim (Roland), grandchildren Renee (Doug), Janelle (Curtis), Andrea (Nick), Thomas (Taylor), and Heather (Ryan), step-grandchildren Adrian and Jared, his great-grandchildren Riley, Kaleb, Lenore, Madelynn, and Cassandra, and siblings Lynn, Fred, and Sue-Ellen (Jac), and nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by Lenore (née Gladue), his loving wife of 51 years, and his parents, Clarence and Donna James.

Bud was born on July 18, 1939, in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Clarence and Donna James. From a young age, Bud loved playing sports, especially baseball, golf, and curling. He graduated from St. James Collegiate in the class of 1957. After graduation, Bud met Lenore at a family barbeque, and they were married on May 16, 1959. They raised three beautiful daughters together and enjoyed many family camping trips throughout the years. Bud was a gifted entrepreneur, spending many of his years bringing products from Amway and Watkins to his valued customers. He took pride in his profession right until his final days.

After Lenore’s passing, Bud found love and comfort with Ruth from Boissevain, Manitoba. Bud and Ruth shared a deep love for music, dancing, language, travel, and one another. Bud and Ruth were married on December 14, 2013, at The Church of the Rock in the presence of their friends and family.

Bud had many passions in his life, however, he liked nothing better than finding an excuse to have a barbeque in the backyard with his family. His love for family was great, and he was so proud of each one of them. Bud will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of the Rock, located at 1397 Buffalo Place on Saturday, February 18th, and 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Right to Play.

Bud's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
