I met Steve at Mica at a moment when i need support, and he gave me that support. When he asked me for another site few years later (Spray), i accepted because i remembered what he did for me on the previous site. Despite the fact that he screwed me at Spray, not telling me that it will be 3 months in 2 weeks out before i accept the job, we got a blast ! His humor was as caustic as mine and we get along very good. He was, at least for me, a real "Partner !" . Even if you're gone, we'll continue bitching on you !! Thanks for everything.

I met Steve on my first site job, back in 2011 at EB Campbell site, he was parachuted under difficult circumstances, but I was impressed how quickly he could get things straightened out. His fairness and showing the rough side of his tongue were assets to the team.
I have good memories of his sense of humor and his funny way of describing awkward situations: like his first RC helicopter crash.
I’m still thinking about you PARTNER

I met Steve in 1996 when we were preparing his Muddy Run assignment. We kept in touch ever since. I have wonderful memories of serious and (most of the times) non serious converstions on some of our Site Mobilization trips. We will miss you "Partner"

I met Steve in 1996 when I began dating his stepdaughter Corinne. After a thorough interrogation, his warm smile broke through, and he welcomed me with a handshake. Steve’s sense of humor, generosity, musical talent, and impressive tool collection left a lasting impression. One of my first memories of Steve was building a shed with him at the first home Corinne and I shared. It was a hot, all-day project including laughter, plenty of colorful language, and a cold drink to celebrate our success. In 1998, I saw Steve’s professional side as a Site Manager in BC, where he was overseeing the installation of some turbine/generator units for BC Hydro. His generosity shone again when he offered me a job onsite, which helped me fund my education. Our commutes together were always fun, where we shared hilarious stories from work or from one of his many travels around the world. I’ll miss Steve deeply, but will always cherish our memories, and the memories “Papa Steve” shared with my two daughters.

I first met Steve when I was on the Seven Mile project in BC, in 2002. Steve was passionate and colorful to say the least. I enjoyed working with him and got to know him quite well. We had ups and downs… The Hydro business can be hard sometimes!
We also shared another passion, music. I will always remember when I visited the Mica project where he was Site Manager. Steve had a music setup in the basement of the house with a drum set and guitars. We had fun jamming together! Good memories.
Partner, I will never forget you!

I met Steve in March of 2018. He was the Site Manager in Churchill Falls and I had just been hired to be the site admin. We hit it off immediately, and were thick as thieves. Steve was my mentor and protector on that project, and while we never managed to find our way back to each other on the same site, Steve somehow had me doing his expenses and timekeeping right up until his last working day in 2022. To know Steve was to love him, and I loved him dearly. I will forever remember my time with him and the memories he shared with me of a career he loved and a family he cherished.

A brother to myself, his sister Wendy, and many others over the years. He is and will be missed. We moved to Canada in 1957 and settled in Quebec. In December 1960 we moved to Thompson, Manitoba. We finished school and Stephen took interest in being a pipefitter. He went to school in The Pas, Manitoba to learn his trade. He tested time every weekend to return home, each time going faster to beat the last week's time. We moved to Bermuda in 1964 where we went to school at Julius Richardson School. We returned from Bermuda in August 1965.
Although we did not stay in touch for years, he was always in a special place in my heart. I will miss him, fondly remembered. Hope his journey through this life and ending were fondly remembered. Much love ❤️ to Ruth and his children, Jennifer and Andrea.

I met Steve on my first job with GE Hydro, on GM Shrum, in BC. He was the Site Manager assigned, and I was a brand new Project Manager. I remember being impressed, and a little taken aback by his gruff, no nonsense approach to everything he said and everything he did. Steve took the lead on the site with a tight grip, good humor, and a keen drive and ended up almost single-handedly finishing the job one month earlier than schedule. I was mightily impressed, and continued to be on the jobs we had together for many years. We will truly miss him.
