CHRISTOPHER WAYNE JEROME

March 28, 1963 - November 1, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce that Chris suddenly passed away on Nov 1st, 2022 in Winnipeg at the age of 59 years.

​

Chris was predeceased by his Nephew Enrique Pearase. He is survived by his Mother Gale Pearase, siblings; Robin Jerome (Lisa) Daniel Pearase (Diana) Vincent Pearase (Annick) Tracy Ell , Jackie Pearase (Glen). Nieces and Nephews; Olivia (Haxton), Bradley (Brittany), Josh, Ashley (Andy), Noah, Liam; Great Nieces and Nephews; Linkoln, Juniper, River, Mackinley.

As a young boy he enjoyed building go carts and tree forts, riding bikes and raiding gardens with his brothers, neighborhood friends and his best bud Tom.  

​

After high school Chris joined the Canadian Reserves alongside his childhood friend Tom.

​

Chris had many jobs after leaving the Reserves, he worked at MPIC as a vehicle compound overseer. He delivered drywall at Winroc. He worked in the warehouse at Canadian Tire and True Save and many other jobs followed.

​

Chris was a kind and gentle man. He had a great sense of humor and got along well with everyone he encountered. He loved nature, fishing, camping, swimming, waterskiing and sitting by the camp fire drinking beers with his friends and family after a long day of fun and fresh air.

​

Chris had skills under his belt. He was a Jack of all trades and was sought after by family and friends to help with the many different home renovations or projects that they were working on.

​

Chris will be forever loved, always remembered and greatly missed.

​

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 29th, 2022 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church), Internment will take place immediately after.

So very sad to learn of Chris' passing. I worked with Chris for a short time at Truserv and since he just lived up the road from me I would often give him a lift in to work. I will always remember him as a soft spoken and very pleasant guy. He had a genuine smile for everyone. My sincerest condolences for his loss.

Today is your funeral. Today I say goodbye. Today a little part of me is gone too. I can’t believe you’re gone. It was an honour to be your friend and your brother. I will love you and miss you forever. Rest in peace Christopher. Hey heaven….1 to beam up please 🥰😢
