SCOTT MATHEW JONATANSON

March 17, 1995 – June 19, 2022

It is with a heavy heart I announce the sudden passing of my son, Scott Mathew Jonatanson on June 19, 2022 at 27 years old.

Scott leaves to mourn his mother, Sharon Jonatanson; aunts Cathy Jonatanson & Leslie Loutit; uncle Joe Jonatanson, and their families.  He will also be greatly missed by his best “buds” since childhood TJ Atkins & Tony Barkman, Jackie & Trevor Atkins who were 2nd parents to Scott growing up, and his extended family Jacqui & Paul Poirier, and Shayne & Len Hunnie.

Over the years Scott was President of the Mineral Society (he really enjoyed digging for minerals), an Officer with the Navy League Cadets, a volunteer and member of the RC Legion Selkirk Branch #42, a volunteer with the Selkirk Friendship Centre, and was with the Selkirk Bowling League for about 10 years. He was an avid reader especially books on history and war. He also spent many hours in the bush, doin’ bush things, including picking wildflowers for his mom, he did this from an early age. Scott cherished the many cats and dogs he had over his life.

Scott made many friends throughout his life, too many to name. Once you met him, you were friends for life. His best friend though, was his mom. They were everything a mother and son should be.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Selkirk Friendship Centre, 425 Eveline St, Selkirk Mb, on Saturday July 9, 2022 at 4:00 pm.
