TERRY GISELE JOYAL

April 23, 1959 – September 20, 2021

It is with heavy hearts; we announce that our beloved Terry passed away on September 20, 2021, at the Health Science Center, at the young age of 62. Our mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend left to heaven to start a new journey. Even though she is no longer here physically, she will be in spirit-  forever watching over us, our beautiful guardian angel.

Terry is survived by the love of her life and husband of 45 years Marcel; children, Gerald (Nancy), David, and Samantha (Joel); grandchildren, Justin (Shannon), Ashley (Brett), Madison, Tallin, Ava, Hudson, MacKenzie and Branden; great-grandchild Alexis; siblings, Rose, Edna, Geraldine, Louise, Dennis, Allan, Garry, and Arthur; as well as her two fur babies, Missy and Maggie.

Terry was a devoted and hardworking Mother. Her strength and devotion inspired many, and she had a heart of gold. Everyone who knew Terry knew how much of a kind and loving person she was and how she loved being surrounded by her family- especially her grandchildren. Terry could always be found in the kitchen preparing homecooked meals for everyone, filling their bellies and putting smiles on their faces.

Terry enjoyed the simple things like; nature, gardening, baking, and even set up her St. Boniface yard to be a local wildlife refuge- feeding and attracting all sorts of wildlife. Suiting, Terry could often be heard telling her husband to”Marce make sure you get birdseed and nuts for our animals!” He would just roll his eyes and, of course, agreed because he knew how much she loved them.

Another one of her favorites was having “girl nights” with her sisters. Movies and enormous amounts of junk food were always had, and most of all, she loved being with her husband Marcel- that’s all she needed.

Mom, you are now pain-free and at peace. We all miss you tremendously, but we know that you are watching over all of us. One day we will meet again, but until then, spread your wings our beautiful angel and be sure to bless us in our gardens.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of her live will be held at a later date. Terry’s family kindly requests that her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos and/or sharing your own memories and stories using the comment section on this page.

Aunty Terry was a kind and caring soul. I have fond memories of her nurturing nature, she always had the best snacks for the cousins, making us delicious food. She loved to have the cousins dress in matching outfits from SAAN when we were younger, all the aunties did ❤. I can still hear her quickly saying "Samantha" or "David" with a smirk on her face when we were being silly in our younger days. Gone too soon, I am sorry to hear, may you rest in peace. My condolences to Uncle Marcy and the kids.
